TRYING TIMES ARE NECESSARY

2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. James 1:2-3 NIV

A trial is a test of ability, performance, or quality. There’s no way you and I can develop spiritually without trials.

When you are tried, your ability to use God’s Word or your faith in God’s word is tested. The purpose of the word of God is not to make one sound smart. The purpose of the Word is to prepare us to rightly divide God's word and apply it daily.

The more we study and apply God's word, the more we' re prepared for the tests and trials ahead.

Every story or character we read in the bible teaches us viable lessons and strengthens the inner man to become tenacious in the midst of trials and temptations.

Take a look at the stories of prominent Bible characters like Abraham, Moses, Joseph, and think about how they were able to surmount their challenges with God's word.

We cannot grow without facing situations that warrant our obedience to the word of God.
Dear family of God, may our thirst for God's word never fade. May we experience the power of God as we study, interpret and apply His word during trying times.

Remember to count it all joy when you face diverse trials and temptations.
God blessed you!
